Day 1. Nukus
Meeting at the airport of Nukus with the driver and departure to Muynak. In Muynak, you will visit the "Ship Graveyard," a museum at the Muynak House of Culture, where works by artists F. Madgazin and R. Matevosyan are exhibited, depicting the Aral Sea and the Amudarya River in their paintings. Here, you can compare the Aral Sea before and after. Continuing the journey across the dried-up bed of the Aral Sea. Ascent to the Ustyurt Plateau, with a stop at the magnificent canyons of Ustyurt. Arrival at the sea. Stroll. Dinner by the campfire. Night in a yurt camp.
Day 2. Aral Sea - Kurgan Cha-kala - Nomads' Cemetery - Aktumsek Canyons - Camp by the Aral Sea
Early wake-up to witness the magnificent sunrise over the sea. Breakfast. Departure for the excursion. Visit the 14th-century Kurgancha Kala fortress, Cape Aktumsyk, and a hiking tour through the picturesque locations of Ustyurt, including canyons, plates, and caves. Along the way, there will be a stop at an ancient graveyard used by nomads during the Great Silk Road, and a descent down a trail for photographing the Martian-like landscape (canyons). Lunch in the yurt camp. Seaside stroll, swimming, and the search for Megalodon shark teeth. Return to the yurt camp. Dinner. Night in the yurt camp
Day 3. Aral Sea - Kubla-Ustyurt Village - Barsakelmes Salt Lake - Suochi Lake - Kungrad - Khodjeli - Nukus
Early rise to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sea. Breakfast. After breakfast, our journey continues to the village of "Komsomolsk" on the Ustyurt Plateau.There, you can see the abandoned airport of the gas compressor station, which was used as an emergency landing site for airplanes. You can photograph camels and horses, as well as try camel milk in the village of Kubla Ustyurt. From the Ustyurt Plateau, the journey continues to the Barsa Kelmes salt flat. This vast salt lake is a remnant of the ancient Tethys Ocean. It provides a unique opportunity for a photo session.Continuing to Lake Sudochye, a former part of the Aral Sea and a nesting place for many migratory birds, including pink flamingos, and more.En route, we pass through the Khodjeli and Kungrad districts, which were trading centers during the Great Silk Road period. Lunch in Kungrad.Transfer to the Mizdakhan Necropolis, located in the Khodjeli district. A guided tour of the necropolis, where you will see the Nazlumkhan Mausoleum (XII-XIV centuries), the Jumart Kassab mound, Shamun Nabi (XIX century), the mausoleum of Khalif Yerejep, and Gaur Kala (VI B.C.-IX A.D.). Arrival in Nukus.
