The decision to build a new mosque was made at the state level and even officially formalized by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. Since the execution of the decree was controlled by the republican authorities, construction work began immediately - in the summer of 2013 and lasted a little over a year.
Funds for the construction of Minor came from the state budget of the country and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan. The new Muslim temple was built very quickly, the grand opening took place in October 2014 during the celebration of Eid al-Adha - this was the best gift to believers from the country's leadership.
On October 1, 2014, on the eve of the sacred Muslim holiday - Eid al-Adha, Islam Karimov opened the new mosque "Minor".
