During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in tourism, investment, and business exchanges. It was noted that the growing interest of citizens of both countries in the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan and Iraq creates additional prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to increasing mutual tourist flows, implementing joint initiatives to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and Iraq in both markets, and expanding cooperation between tourism companies and industry organizations.
The parties also discussed prospects for establishing direct air connections between Uzbekistan and Iraq, including the possibility of launching flights on the Baghdad–Tashkent route, which would further contribute to the development of tourism and business ties.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation between representatives of the tourism industries of both countries, expand the practice of organizing business missions and B2B meetings, and jointly promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and Iraq in their respective markets.
