A key topic of the negotiations was transport accessibility. The sides noted the need to explore the possibility of direct air connections between Cheboksary and Uzbekistan’s tourist centers (Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Urgench), which would increase tourist flow and make travel more convenient. The Uzbek side presented the country’s tourism potential, including cultural and educational routes along the cities of the Great Silk Road, health and wellness resorts, as well as mountain and industrial tourism.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a joint roadmap of activities to promote the tourism potential of the two regions, including familiarization tours for tour operators.
