Prior to the start of the competition, a special briefing and draw ceremony were organized for athletes, heads of foreign delegations, members of the judging panel, organizers, as well as representatives of local and international media outlets and bloggers. During the briefing, participants were provided with detailed information on the festival regulations, judging criteria, safety requirements, competition procedures, and the order of performances.
The opening ceremony, held at the Arda Khiva tourist complex, was attended by Botir Saidov, Deputy Governor of the Khorezm Region, who officially declared the competition open. Khiva Mayor Temur Davletov also delivered a welcoming speech, congratulating the participants on the start of the prestigious tournament and wishing them success and victory.
As part of the competition program, contests in the traditional disciplines of Chugirma Otish and Muynak Langari were held at the Arda Khiva complex. These events reflect the national traditions of strongman games. Participants demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and skill, providing spectators with vivid and memorable performances.
The athletes also competed in the Khiva Mill and Deadlift events, showcasing outstanding physical preparation and determination to win. Each participant pushed their limits, displaying great enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
To ensure broad media coverage of the event, the Tourism Committee organized a special press tour involving journalists, bloggers, and representatives of domestic and international media outlets. They are actively covering the competition, the performances of the strongmen, and Khiva’s rich tourism potential through social media platforms and various media channels.
As part of the program, all guests were also invited to take part in a special tour of the Arda Khiva complex.
During the tour, participants became acquainted with the complex’s modern infrastructure, architectural solutions reflecting national traditions, handicraft heritage, and the rich historical and cultural legacy of Khorezm. Guests were also provided with detailed information about the hospitality traditions and national values of the Uzbek people.
At the conclusion of the tour, festival participants were presented with commemorative gifts — traditional Khorezmian headwear known as chugirma. This symbolic gift, representing ancient traditions, national identity, and the hospitality of the people of Khorezm, made a lasting impression on the international guests.
