Around 200 women entrepreneurs, tourism experts, representatives of international organizations, and government bodies from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and other countries participated in this prestigious event. The forum serves as an important platform for discussing pressing issues in the tourism sector, establishing new business connections, and developing joint projects.
As noted by Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee S. Bobokalonov, large-scale measures are currently being implemented to develop domestic and international tourism, enhance the country’s tourism potential, provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs and women working in this sector, attract investment, and ensure tourist safety. As a result, the number of tourists visiting the country is increasing, further strengthening ties between the peoples of Central Asia, who have lived in close proximity and interaction for centuries.
The main goal of the forum is to strengthen cooperation among women entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries, promote innovative approaches in tourism, develop new tourism products and services, and advance the region’s tourism potential in international markets.
Within the forum, sessions were organized on the topics “Women in Tourism in Central Asia: from regional business to global markets” and “Business and scaling: growth without large investments.” The discussions covered new tourism development models, the hotel industry, wellness tourism, pilgrimage tourism, gastronomic tourism, digital marketing, and the promotion of tourism products in foreign markets.
In addition, a partner fair, B2B meetings, and business negotiations were held for participants. These created opportunities for forming new partnerships and expanding investment and commercial cooperation.
Following the forum, proposals will be prepared to strengthen cooperation among women entrepreneurs in Central Asia, develop joint tourist routes and projects, implement practical initiatives to increase tourist flows, and promote the tourism brand of the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the international level.
