The program began with the delegation’s arrival in Tashkent and a visit to the Center of Islamic Civilization. Guests were introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich historical, scientific, and spiritual heritage through a comprehensive presentation at the center.
The next stage of the tour took place in the Andijan region. The delegation visited key attractions in Andijan city, including Jome Mosque and the famous farmers’ market. B2B meetings involving local tourism organizations were also organized, providing an opportunity to discuss cooperation between foreign and domestic travel companies. Guests visited the Imam-Ota tourism village in Khojaabad district, where they were introduced to the area’s mountain scenery, suspension bridge, and modern amusement facilities. The day concluded with a walking tour along Andijan’s “Tourism 24/7” street.
In the Fergana region, the delegation examined the tourism infrastructure developed around the Karkidon Reservoir in Kuva district. They also visited the Avval tourism village. Particular interest was shown in the Eco-City complex, the Expo Center, and IT Park in Fergana city. These facilities showcased the region’s efforts to develop MICE tourism, including business events, meetings, and conferences. Additional B2B negotiations between local and international tourism organizations were held there.
The delegation also visited the Burhanuddin Margilani Tourism Complex in Margilan. Established pursuant to a presidential decree dated April 1, 2025, the Burhanuddin Margilani Complex represents a unique “city within a city,” combining traditional national architecture, the history of Margilan, and modern tourism industry standards. Spanning 35 hectares, the complex offers comprehensive facilities for visitors, including a hotel, caravanserai, retail and service outlets, a handicrafts center, a traditional market, and museums.
Another highlight of the program was a visit to the Zilkha Kum sand dunes in Altyaryk district. The guests then traveled to Rishtan, where they learned about the traditions of the region’s renowned ceramic art school. In particular, unique handicrafts created by local artisans were presented in the M. Topvaldiev tourism mahalla and at the Mingboshi pottery workshop. In Kokand, delegation members explored Kokand University, Istiklol Tourism Street, the Museum of Art and Literature, and the city’s hospitality infrastructure.
In the Namangan region, a forum dedicated to the development of MICE tourism was organized. Discussions focused on investment opportunities in tourism, business cooperation, and new projects. The delegation visited modern hotels, gastronomic tourism sites, and the newly opened Congress Hall complex. Guests also explored the floral displays of the Flower Festival, the Valley of Legends theme park, and Babur Park, gaining insight into the region’s recreational and entertainment potential.
During the final stage of the visit, the delegation toured the ancient archaeological site of Aksikent in Turakurgan district. Guests were introduced to the rich history and tourism opportunities of this unique heritage site. The program also included visits to newly developed tourism facilities along the banks of the Syr Darya River, the Shahand sanatorium, and traditional workshops specializing in skullcap making, embroidery, and knife craftsmanship in the city of Chust.
This familiarization tour served to demonstrate to international tourism market participants the immense potential of the Fergana Valley in cultural, pilgrimage, ecological, gastronomic, handicraft, and business tourism.
As a result of the event, several new cooperation agreements and joint tourism initiatives are expected to be developed, further strengthening the Fergana Valley’s position on the international tourism map.
