The unique historical and ethnographic park “Eternal City” is the heart of the new Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex. This is a multidisciplinary tourist center that combines business, cultural, medical and gastronomic tourism facilities.
On an area of 260 hectares there are 8 hotels that can accommodate up to 3,000 guests at a time, a park with a large number of rare trees, a congress center, Gashtak (an artificial lake for fishing), a central square with singing fountains and a cottage town called Eco Village.
The heart of this entire ecosystem will be the unique historical and ethnographic park “Eternal City”, built according to the design of Bobur Ismoilov, one of the most prominent representatives of modern fine art in Uzbekistan.
The area of the “Eternal City” is more than 10 hectares; 44 unique authentic buildings were built on its territory. Craftsmen from the regions of Uzbekistan will begin their activities in the park.
Why is the park called “Eternal City”?
Because Samarkand is an eternal city. He is the same age as Rome, and maybe older. The “Eternal City” can be called whatever you like - an ethnographic park, a complex of crafts, a cultural or tourist center. I wanted to create a space where tourists or Uzbeks could not just look at this architecture, but also tactilely touch the workshops, craftsmen, artists who will inhabit this entire space, feel the atmosphere of the ancient city
